Web Design Process Steps

This is the basic process that we undergo when building websites for clients. We usually have to set-up accounts and billing services with third party outside vendors on the client's behalf. In order to do this we need the credit card and email information in advance.

1. Domain Name Administration - Identify nameservers or IP address of web host account and edit the information currently on file with the registrar of that particular domain name.
   1. Name Registration (new or alternate names)
   2. DNS Modification
   3. Set A-record to new host IP Address
2. Set-up Web Hosting Account
   1. Choose service web hosting provider.
   2. Monthly or Annual Billed directly to client's credit card.
3. Set-up Google Account
   1. Analytics
   2. Web Tools
   3. Client needs to respond to activation emails
4. Website Design
   1. List Names of Links Across Top, Side, and Bottom of Pages
   2. List names of Pages Links should connect to.
   3. Choose Design Scheme
   4. Client to supply text copy for pages
   5. Client to provide Basic SEO for each web page
   6. Client to provide photos/images or choose from www.istockphoto.com library
5. Client to review Draft Site for accuracy and necessary revisions.
6. Payment for balance due.
7. Final Site goes live.

We do not handle set-up of client's email. That is an IT function beyond our scope of design service.
